buzzzy.top was founded in 2022 by a team of simulation game enthusiasts and environmental educators with a mission to create an engaging, educational game that teaches players about pollinator conservation while providing fun, immersive gameplay. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, our team of 7 developers, artists, and entomology consultants combines expertise in simulation game design, insect ecology, and user experience to craft a unique hive-building adventure.
Our flagship title, Buzzzy: Hive Harmony, invites players to build and manage their own insect hive, care for over 25 species of pollinators, cultivate flower gardens, and collaborate with other players to restore balance to a virtual ecosystem. The game features vibrant, colorful graphics, realistic insect behaviors (based on entomological research), and educational content about pollinator conservation—including tips for supporting real-world bees and butterflies. Players can customize their hives with unique structures, unlock rare flower species that attract special pollinators, and participate in seasonal conservation events (e.g., butterfly migration support, hive winterization).
What sets us apart is our blend of education and entertainment. We prioritize accuracy in insect biology and conservation science, working with entomologists to ensure gameplay reflects real-world ecological principles. We also foster a kind, collaborative community, with in-game cooperative projects that encourage players to work together to protect virtual ecosystems. Our social media channels and forums share conservation news, behind-the-scenes game development, and player success stories.
Since launching, buzzzy.top has grown to over 85,000 registered players, including families, educators, and environmental enthusiasts. The game has been used in elementary school classrooms to teach ecology, and we’ve partnered with conservation organizations to create in-game events that raise awareness for pollinator protection. Our commitment to community feedback has led to major updates, including new insect species, cooperative hive alliances, cross-platform play support, and a mobile version optimized for touch controls.
Looking to the future, we’re expanding Buzzzy: Hive Harmony with a "field guide" feature that lets players learn detailed facts about each insect species, a PvE mode where players defend their hives from environmental threats (e.g., pesticides, habitat loss), and more educational mini-games focused on pollinator life cycles. We’re also developing a physical merchandise line (insect-themed crafts, garden seeds) to extend the conservation mission beyond the game.
At buzzzy.top, our mission is to inspire players to care for the natural world through immersive, educational gameplay. Whether you’re a child learning about insects for the first time or an adult passionate about conservation, we welcome you to join our hive community.
